Pod – FAQ’s

 

Our dining experiences do not include the garden admission fee, these must be purchased via Trentham Estates website. If a member of the booking is an annual pass holder, each day ticket purchased will have 20% off. Click here to book your tickets.

 Please be aware that our pods are not air conditioned and during the summer months the pods can face hot conditions.


Where do we book and how?
You can book via our website by clicking on the coffee & pastry or afternoon tea images or you can book via the phone by calling a member of our team on 07807 075261.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome in the pods, however, we do ask that you attend the pod booking before a walk with your dog(s) due to the decor within our pods.

Do you cater for different dietary needs and allergies?
We offer a vegan menu which is dairy free and a gluten free menu. All other dietaries are listed when selecting the menus. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot cater for any other allergies at this time.

Can i amend any food items?
We offer set menus, which can be selected upon your booking. Each menu shows allergen information. We are unable to swap or cater for any other requests. All other dietaries are listed when selecting the menus. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot cater for any other allergies at this time.

Are there any discounts for children dining in the pods?
Yes, we have a children’s afternoon tea priced at £15 per head.

What decorations can you provide? Can we bring our own?
We are not currently offering any celebration packages. However, you can of course bring your own decorations. Please note, we do not allow confetti. Our team are happy to help decorate your pod for your arrival.

How long is each sitting and are we able to stay longer?
Our Afternoon Tea experience is a 2 hour sitting and unfortunately we do not allow extensions, however we do offer exclusive hire of the area for events so please contact hello@podsandpicnics.co.uk to find out more. For special events, please check the event details for the time allocated to the event.

What is included?
On arrival you will be welcomed by a host and introduced to your Pod host for the duration of your stay, you will then receive your preordered food (completed online when booking) which comes with unlimited tea and americano. You will have the opportunity to order drinks throughout.

Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, we are accessible for wheelchairs via a ramp, unfortunately due to the capacity and table we can only accommodate 1 wheelchair per pod.

Do you have high chairs available?
Yes, we provide high chairs.

How many people fit into each Pod?
Our Pods can accommodate up to 8 guests at any one time, our minimum group size is 4 people.

What are the prices?
  Our afternoon tea pricing starts from £25 per adult and children dine for £15 per child 
Can I smoke or use E-Cigs?
Smoking is strictly forbidden this includes E-Cigs

What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a change of date policy and require 1 weeks notice, if you are unsure on the date we can provide gift vouchers instead.

What if I am late?
Your time allocation will start from the time your booking states, unfortunately there will be no extension – please do not be late, everything is made fresh to order and will be prepared for your arrival.

What should I wear?
There is no formal dress code, be as individual as you like.

Where are the toilets?
Toilets are located behind the pods in between The Tearooms and The Waffle Hut, you can access by following the path past the play park.
